A classic 1960s suit in brick red wool boucle. Slightly boxy jacket with deep red rhinestone dotted plastic buttons. Jacket has front flap pockets and also has a narrow breast pocket. Mink attached at the collar. Jacket is lined in brick red crepe. Matching fitted skirt with side metal zipper, rear center seam ven, and partial crêpe lining. Label reads, "Made expressly for Ames and Brownley Inc. Norfolk, VA By Rothmoor". There is also metal tag hanging inside the jacket with a Scottie dog on one side... the other side reads "Genuine Rothmoor Coats."
Size: Jacket has a MAX 42" bust (I would go smaller to account for blouse underneath), 38" waist (not intended to be fitted) and is 26" from shoulder to waist. Skirt has a 28" waist, 40" hips and is 28 1/2" from waist to hem.
Condition: In good condition. When first looking at the suit there appeared to be some small holes however I later discovered these were just gaps in the weave of boucle that could be pushed back together. I think that I have gotten them all back in place however there may be a few threads I missed that still need to be pushed. The mink collar is worn at the edges... it can be easily removed from the suit as these were only tacked in place originally to allow for dry cleaning.
