TOTAL KNOCKOUT Tower Isle 1950's Sun Dress w/ Long Sash Price ... $115 SOLD OK, so this dress is definitely one of my favorites. It's just such a TOTAL knockout... the print, the style, everything about it is FAB. the darkest of navy cotton with a deep, rich red and yellow fish and floral print. Fitted bodice with spaghetti strap tie halter (though you can wear the dress strapless just by pushing the straps inside). INCREDIBLE Striped Wool 1940's Suit w/ Velveteen Collar Price ... $125 SOLD This is a such a striking 1940's suit! Striped brown and cream with a rich chocolate colored velveteen collar. Fitted jacket has double breasted styling (sorry! I realized after I had already done all of the photographs that I forgot to button the bottom button!) Long straight skirt with side metal zipper and 3" side seam slits for ease of movement. Jacket is fully lined, skirt is not. Label reads, "Nelson's of Princeton." The short sleeved top has self button closures at the back. The classic straight skirt has a side nylon zipper. All three pieces are fully lined and in very good condition. WONDERFUL Lilli Ann Suit w/ Long Swing Jacket Price ... SOLD What a WONDERFUL wool suit! This is why I love Lilli Ann. The suit consists of a FAB long swing jacket with triple faux pockets down each side. The camel colored collar and lining are striking, and check out the construction of the back! Narrow straight skirt has a side metal zipper. Jacket is fully lined, but skirt is only partially lined. Tag reads, "an original from Lilli Ann of San Francisco." Additional tag for Sachs, Austin Avenue and also has "Import Fabric of France, Lilli Ann" label. Overall in strong wearable condition, but there is some light moth grazing (not holes) on the camel collar (these are difficult to see, but I always want to mention everything!). Wonderful 1960's Vera Maxwell Suit Price ... SOLD This wonderful Vera Maxwell suit has a dark, swirled brown and black print. The jacket is boxy and buttons up the front with 4 self fabric buttons. It has 3/4 length sleeves and is fully lined. The skirt is straight with slight gathers at the hips and a vent at the bottom of the center back seam. It closes with a side zipper and two hook and eye closures. The suit appears to be made from silk, but could possibly be synthetic. The suit is in excellent condition. Jacques Heim Adaptation Price ... SOLD A NEAT black wool dress with embroidered eyelet. The entire dress is lined in bright red acetate which actually peeks through the eyelet. Black satin trim at neckline and short sleeves. Rear metal zipper. Tag reads, "A Puritan Forever Young adaptation from Jacques Heim." Belt loops but no belt. Otherwise in very good condition. Funky Faux Persian Lamb Suit Price ... $60 This is quite a unique suit. Made from grey faux persian lamb. Jacket has a band collar and fastens with grey plastic ball buttons. The skirt has a rear nylon zipper. Suit appears to be hand made. Overall in very good condition, but the jacket lining needs to be tacked town (it has a tendency to stick out of the bottom of the jacket for some reason). OUTSTANDING Dan Millstein Late 1940's Suit Price ... SOLD When Marilyn Monroe got married to Joe DiMaggio guess what she wore? A Dan Millstein suit! And guess who got his start designing coats for Dan Millstein? Calvin Klein! Anyway... this striking suit is so New Look! It is made from what appears to be a silk taffeta (you should hear the fabulous rustling sound it makes!) and it has the most amazing iridescence. The fabulous jacket has rounded shoulders and a nipped waist with a peplum. The jacket has extra padding around the chest and at the hips and derriere in order to exaggerate the tiny waistline. The collar and the pocket flaps have fabulous braided trim sprinkled with faceted black beads. The jacket closes with 4 self fabric buttons and has neat puffed three quarter length sleeves. There is also a bow on the jacket at the back of the waist. The terrific full skirt is almost ankle length and closes with a short metal zipper and a button at both the left and right sides. The jacket has 2 darts in the front and two in the back as well as two hip darts on the skirt that were let out by the previous owner. These could be restitched to make the suit a little bit smaller. Tag reads, "a dan millstein design." Overall, the suit is in terrific condition. There appears to be a bit of color variation throughout the suit, but because of the iridescence in the fabric it is difficult to see. There are a couple of faint eraser sized water spots on the back right side of the skirt, as well as a few pin sized spots near the bottom of the skirt on the front right side.
