Black & Red Houndstooth Suit Item vc2899 ... Price: $115 A lovely late 1940's wool suit in an orangey red and black houndstooth. Fitted jacket with shoulder pads, faux flap pockets and black plastic buttons. Jacket is lined in black crepe. Matching straight skirt with front center pleat. Skirt is unlined. Label (which is upside down for some reason, as is the label in the other suit from this woman) reads, "Yetta Hortense. Nicholson & Marks. Norfolk, VA." Size: (need help with your measurements? click here) 33 1/2" bust, 23 1/2" waist, 34" hips. Approximately 26 1/2" from waist to hem. Condition: In good condition. Tiny moth hole below waistband and another about an inch away from both the front and rear center seams of the skirt. There are other moth holes scattered on skirt but you'll go blind trying to find them in the houndstooth pattern (if you hold the skirt up to the light and look inside you can see them).         Click on above images to enlarge.
