- Extraordinary Emma Domb Flocked Chiffon 1950's Ball Gown
A striking 1950's Ball Gown in ivory nylon chiffon with contrasting black flocking and black taffeta. Strapless, fitted bodice. Cummerbund style taffeta waistband trails down the back of the dress in two elegant streamers. Gown has a VERY full ball gown skirt lined in tulle (shown here with a small bridal hoop... not included). Rear metal zipper (please note that the zipper is fully functional, the dress was just too snug for the form). Label reads, "Emma Domb, California." Lined in creamy acetate. Bodice is boned.
Size: Taken in to a 32" bust, 25" waist, free hips. Approximately 51" from underarm to hem.
Condition: In good condition. Possibly not 100% as bright as it once was but still looks fantastic. Slight yellow and slight wear to the flocking under the arms. Very, very faint drip mark (super hard to see) on the left side of the skirt below the hip. Two other very faint drip type marks on the skirt (you'll never see them unless you really look), as well as a couple of tiny holes (again, you'll never see them unless you look). There is a run/small series of holes on the rear right skirt below hip level. Tiny hole under the pleat on the rear waist (not visible). Small thin pen line above the hem.
