An absolutely BREATHTAKING mid to late 50's Christian Dior evening gown with matching wrap. Greenish bronze silk chrysanthemum brocade. Fitted, square bodice with wide straps. The rear of the bodice is pleated and wrapped with a bow accent (this dress almost has a Japanese flair... the treatment at the back is almost reminiscent of an obi). The bodice is incredibly constructed from approximately ten separate pieces and is boned for support. Lined in silk. The matching brocade wrap is backed in iridescent purplish grey velvet. "Christian Dior New York" label. The gown is in EXCELLENT condition, save one dime sized wear spot on the wrap's velvet backing. Bust: 36" Waist: 26" Hips:full Length: 58" from shoulder to hem.
