As many of you know we have been working on a site renovation for quite some time (please see below for more information on the renovation). We’re working with a wonderful programmer who has written a piece of custom software for the management and generation of Vintageous. Due to many factors this has taken quite a bit longer than we had ever expected. The good news is that we’re now in the process of launching phase one of the new site!!! What will happen during the renovation? Phase 1: We are no longer manually coding the formal wear section of the site (all pages will be automatically generated by our handy dandy new software). SOLD items (everyone’s pet peeve, we know!) are now automatically being marked sold on BOTH the main formal wear pages and the item detail pages. SOLD items in the formal wear section of the site will automatically be removed or archived after 30 days (the current backlog of sold items will be removed from the site over the next week) We have made some cosmetic changes to the item detail pages to make them more user friendly. Phase 2: A search engine/sort function will be added to the formal wear section of the site… this will initially only give you the ability to search by size, but will later be expanded to include color and designer searches. During phase two we will also be adding a wedding category. Phase 3: The other departments on the site will gradually be upgraded to the automated system and search engines will be added to those areas as well. We will probably be standardizing the format of all of the departments (to match the gallery format of the formal wear section) but have not yet decided. Other changes you may notice: We will be making some gradual changes to the order form. We will be adding a shoe department. We will no longer be accepting payments by check or money order except with prior approval.
