EXQUISITE 1960's Sarmi Evening Gown in Chocolate Velvet & Aqua Satin
Item sarmi63 ... Price: $295 SOLD

Some time ago we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to purchase over 120 gowns and cocktail dresses from the estate of Leonard Gold, former CFO of Sarmi. Over the next few months we will be adding them all to Vintageous and you will see everything from chic and elegant chiffon toga gowns to wacky op-art shifts, to cellophane embroidered laces, gowns in some of the most stunning, lavish fabrics you have ever seen to simple poly day dresses. Welcome to the Sarmi Collection at Vintageous!

A stunning 1960's ball gown. Plush dark chocolate on top of thick, shimmering aqua satin. Short sleeves and a plunging bow trimmed neckline. Gold braid, faux pearl, rhinestone and aqua bead trimmed empire waist. Lined. Gown has a thin tulle and organdy petti attached. Rear nylon zipper. "Sarmi New York," label.

Size: (need help with your measurements? click here)
32 1/2" bust (because of the plunging neckline, you might be able to push the bust measurement a tiny bit), 25" waist (high waist... measured approximatlely 13" from shoulder to waist), free hips. Approximately 59 1/2" from shoulder to hem.

Condition: In wearable condition. Has been dry cleaned, however there are still lines of discoloration down the skirt from the way the dust settled in the gathers over years and years of improper storage (still doable in a dim lighting situation though... but if you wear it outside under bright sun you'll probably notice it). The satin has some abrasions down the sides of the skirt. A few shiny spots to the velvet. Some tiny holes on the very bottom fold of the hem. Some missing beads.
