Item sarmi72 ... Price: $410 SOLD
Last year we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to purchase over 120 gowns and cocktail dresses from the estate of Leonard Gold, former CFO of Sarmi. Over the next few months we will be adding them all to Vintageous and you will see everything from chic and elegant chiffon toga gowns to wacky op-art shifts, to cellophane embroidered laces, gowns in some of the most stunning, lavish fabrics you have ever seen to simple poly day dresses. Welcome to the Sarmi Collection at Vintageous!
A colorful and cool 1960's evening dress from Sarmi. Heavyweight crepe in stripes of hot pink, bright orange, turquoise, lime and lavender. Turquoise crepe covered buttons down both sides of the dress and at the shoulders (buttons on left side of the dress are functional, right side is decorative). There are loops at the waist but so far I have not located a belt for this dress (I don't think it would have been the classic Sarmi satin band with bow... it would probably have been a matching crepe cord or something similar). If you have to hem the dress you could use some of the extra hem to recreate a belt (there is also some hem allowance which would allow you to do this without shortening the dress). Side metal zipper below the waist. Lined in lavender silk. "Sarmi New York," label.
Size: (need help with your measurements? click here)
33" bust (the armholes are cut VERY deep so you could probably get away with a bit more if you don't mind giving a peek at the sides), 27" waist, free hips. Approximately 59 1/2" from shoulder to hem.
Condition: In good condition. Dry cleaned, however there is still some greyish grunge along the edges of the neckline and hem.
