Shimmering Cream Satin 1940's Wedding Gown w/ Jacket

Product Description

The dress simply was too snug for the mannequin so the photos really don't do it justice. It is quite a chic 1940's wedding gown in cream satin. Fitted bodice with wide straps and attached, lace covered bustier with boning. Gown has a sweeping, full skirt (has an attached crinoline, but it is completely limp). Matching jacket has a scooped necline to reveal the lace and stands up at the rear of the neck. Jacket closes with 18 self fabric buttons. Matching belt.

Size: 32" bust, 22" waist, free hips. Approximately 59 1/2" from shoulder to hem.

Condition: In good, wearable condition. Several scuffs to the satin. Some crude alteration work... you can see some stitching at the waist (though if you use the belt it will be hidden), the hem looks pretty amateurish and there is ghost stitching around the bodice seams where the dress was let out. The attached crinoline is completely limp. A faint yellow streak on the left side of the skirt. An orange pin dot at each underarm. The belt has some slight discoloration along one edge and the buckle shows some wear. Buttons on the jacket are discolored (you could take some fabric from the inside of the hem to have them recovered if you want). Could use a prof pressing.
