A superb 1950's ball gown in russet colored acetate and tulle that floats as you move. Fitted, flattering acetate halter bodice with lightly gathered strap and pleated tulle inset at the bust. Feminine, ivory floral applique under the bustline. Gown has a floating layered tulle skirt lined in acetate (shown here with a crinoline... not included). Rear metal zipper. Bodice is boned at the rear.
Size: 33 1/2" bust (taken in), 25" waist, free hips. Approximately 50" from underarm to hem.
Condition: In good condition. Has been cleaned. There is some remaining smudging and a small abrasion at the right side of the halter strap (probably from a corsage). Also, the remnant of some whitish residue at the very edge of the underarm. Applique probably had rhinestones at some point? There is a pea sized hole in the tulle skirting in the top 1/3 of the skirt. A repair in the tulle at the center hem. 3 tiny holes and a slit above right side hem. The fullness of the skirting really obscures these minor things.
