1940's Hattie Carnegie Taupe & Pink Lace & Tulle Ball Gown Item v2229 ... Price: $280 SOLD
![]() A superb Hattie Carnegie ball gown in taupe lace and tulle. Sexy, gathered bust with ruffled trim along the neckline. Cap sleeves. Slightly elongated bodice with pointed rear waist. Dress has a fabulously full tulle skirt with a lace "apron" (shown here with an additional crinoline... not included). Dress is lined in peachy pink acetate. Side metal zipper. Bodice is boned. "Hattie Carnegie. Little Salon," label. To see a close up of the bodice, please click here. To see the rear of this dress, please click here. Condition: In wearable condition. This gown is gorgeous but has a couple of issues. There is a faint spot just above the waist (front right side). Tiny spot on the apron. Tiny spot inside neckline. There is underarm discoloration. There are a couple of small holes in the lace under the arms and a couple of tiny ones at the shoulder. The tulle is perhaps not quite as crisp as it once might have been. The gown is gorgeous and fully wearable as it is, however if you desire the armholes are cut so deeply and the shoulders are so long, I think you could just take up the bodice and eliminate most of the issues. All in all, still stunning but priced accordingly. |
