A unique evening gown done in a purple, pink, cream and green knit knit and shot with metallic silver threads. Fitted bodice with light gathers. Gown has a smashing skirt, gathered on one side and artfully draped. Matching wide cummerbund belt. The odd part about this dress is that it looks like someone decided it was too risque and renovated the dress to incorporate a purple satin panel in the top (and also re-backed the belt to match). The inset looks ok, but if you have the inclination, the dress would be sexier without it. The dress has a "Western Costume Company, Hollywood Calif" stamp (inside the purple inset) and is also stamped with the #4. This was obtained from an auction of 1940's & 1950's hollywood costumes and was film worn (likely by someone in a bit part or an extra). To see a close up of the bodice, please click here. Size (need help with your measurements? click here): 33 1/2" bust, 23 1/2" waist, hips are relatively free due to the styling of the skirt, but I'd say MAX 38. Approximately 57" from shoulder to hem.

Condition: In wearable condition. The knit part of the dress is in very good condition, but the satin insets have underarm discoloration and one row of stitches has come undone in the purple inset.
