Now I suppose the styling of this gown is VERY classic early 40's/late 30's, but the fabrication is a little unusual... sort of a light weight black wool flannel. Relatively plain gown with thin straps and a gathered, ruched bust. Matching wool bolero with bands of brick red crepe and bronzey silk (? hard to really feel/see under the beading) covered in white and gunmetal beads. Dress closes with hooks and eyes up the back. Label reads, "an original design Registered by a member of fashion originators guild." To see a close up of the bodice, please click here. To see a close up of the bolero, please click here. Size (need help with your measurements? click here): 36" bust, 28" waist, MAX 41" hips. Approximately 54" from shoulder to hem.
