 An elegant and magnificent cocktail dress in black taffeta and lace. Fitted bodice with positively exquisite detail at the neckline... illusion lace covered with quilted taffeta appliques edged in shimmering black beads. Dress has a full skirt with beaded lace appliques on the front. Side metal zipper. Bodice is boned and contains a pair of, um... falsies (easily removed if you prefer). Now this is the type of dress that is so fantastically styled and constructed that I looked over every inch of it twice expecting to see a fine label but found only the remains of an order tag. The underarms have been repaired (I think the original owner was hanging this dress improperly... it is quite heavy), but the repairs are very well camouflaged. There are some small breaks to the lace at the shoulders. |
