N/OS Nettie Rosenstein 1950's Cocktail Dress w/ Detachable Bubble Skirt Item v3406 ... Price: $585 This is an UNBELIEVABLE ensemble! Never worn Nettie Rosenstein silk paper taffeta in fuchsia paisley. Becasue this dress was never worn it was never fitted. The optional straps were not attached (they will come with the gown) and the hem was not finished (we will leave it this way so that the new owner can hem it to the proper length). Essentially it's a very elegant strapless, semi-fitted dress, but then there's the fun part... a matching detachable balloon skirt (elasticized in the back, ties in the front). Though it's not intended for wear as a cape, you can also use the skirt as a cape. Rear metal zipper. Label reads, "Nettie Rosenstein styles exclusive with I. Magnin & Co. Shops." Condition: In good condition. The lining of the dress has several long vertical tears in the skirt area (this is of course, not at all visible outside). The rest of the dress feels nice and supple, but the lining feels a little dry and may continue to tear with wear. It is a sheer organza lining and does not add any opacity to the skirt, so if you remove it, it won't change the way the dress looks.             Click on above images to enlarge.
