 A KNOCKOUT of a vintage cocktail dress in black and ivory organdy with black velvet trim. Fitted bodice with velvet trim and halter strap (I think the halter strap has been replaced). Black velveteen bow at rear waist (I don't think it is original and I would be inclined to remove it). Full, twirling skirt with velvet trimmed diamond panels graduating from black to ivory at the hem (the dress has an attached crinoline and is shown here with an additional crinoline... not included). Dress is fully lined in cotton. Rear metal zipper. Bodice is boned at the sides and wired at the top. To see a close up of the bodice, please click here. Not quite as vibrant as it probably once was. Some small orangey spots on the skirt. A few tiny picks along the very edge of the hemline. |
