Amazing Striped Wine Taffeta & Velvet 1940's Evening Gown Item v4991 ... Price: $245 SOLD An incredible 1940's evening gown in alternating strips of wine velvet and taffeta. Cuffed, fitted bodice with wide straps and rhinestone trimmed self fabric accents. Gown has a semi-full, sweeping skirt (shown here with a thin crinoline... not included, and which, when I looked at the photos, I realized was not appropriate to the dress anyway). Side metal zipper. Approximately 60" from shoulder to hem. Condition: In good condition. Some wear spots to the velvet. Three tiny water spots on the bodice. 1" repair to the velvet on the back of the bodice (not immediately evident). Straps have been let out, leaving some ghost stitching. Waist has been altered to current size. Some scattered tiny black spots on the skirt. Some tiny, faint black spots and smudges towards the hem.         Click on above images to enlarge.
