Item v5159 ... Price: $275 A superb, figure flattering 1950's cocktail dress in black velvet and a very finely ribbed black faille. Strapless heart shaped bodice with center panel of faille. Dress has a full, fabulous skirt with two panels of gathered faille at the rear (shown here with an additional crinoline... not included). Dress is fully lined. Side metal zipper. Bodice is boned. This dress is so superbly styled and constructed that I have been over it again and again looking for a fine designer label, but cannot find one. To see a close up of the bodice, please click here. Condition: In good condition. A little iron shine on the faille. Evidence of a past alteration on the rear bodice. Wear marks/rubbed spots on the velvet under the arms from improper storage. Slight purpling ot the velvet under the arms.
