Item v5508 ... Price: $215 SOLD
A truly beautiful early 1940's evening dress in cream (maybe not quite dark enough to be cream, but not light enough to be ivory) marquisette with winding golden metallic embroidery. Fitted bodice with sweetheart neckline, wide, pleated straps and large bow. Dress has a lovely, sweeping skirt. Side hook and eye closures. Lined.
Size: (need help with your measurements? click here)
34" bust, 29" waist, free hips. Approximately 58" from shoulder to hem.
Condition: In good condition. Slight yellow at the underarms. Some scattered tiny holes (a few threads each) in the skirt and some scattered small brown spots (I lightly sponged one with cool water and it lightened very nicely... almost gone, I just don't have time to do them all). One slightly larger hole (half a pea) higher up on the skirt. Maybe a shade darker overall than it once was... still gorgeous.
