Jaw Dropping Cerise Taffeta & Tulle Strapless 1950's Ball Gown Item v5659 ... Price: $335 SOLD A positively jaw dropping 1950's ball gown in a shimmering iridescent cerise colored taffeta and tulle. Strapless with a pleated tulle overlay at the heart shaped bustline. Expertly fitted and flared in all of the right places for a flattering look. Dramatically gathered and draped skirt with taffeta bows over each hip. Double layer tulle underskirt with additional lining underneath. Rear metal zipper. Bodice is boned. Size: (need help with your measurements? click here) 33 1/2" bust, 24 1/2" waist, free hips. Approximately 52 1/2" from underarm to hem. Condition: In good condition. Two pin holes on the rear bodice. Several scattered pin hole at the left hip (possibly from a corsage?). SOme small liquid type spots in the gathers of the skirt (there is one towards the top of the gathers that might be visible, but for the most part they are hard to see between the volume, color and shimmer of the skirt. Three short white lines on the bottom left side of the skirt. There are numerous vertical tears in the tulle underlayer... fortunately, for the most part they aren't as visible as you wuold think. A few tiny brown spots on the skirt. A small bit of repaired seam at the right side of the waist. A small tear under the bow on the right side. Stress around the zipper seam. I know this sounds like a lot, but the gown is stunning and presents beautifully.         Click on above images to enlarge.
