Item v5685 ... Price: $275 SOLD
A superb 1950's wedding gown in ivory lace and tulle. Elegant, off shoulder bodice with pleated tulle inset. Incredibly full, lace overlaid skirt of two fine layers of tulle over two coarse layers of tulle (shown here with a bridal hoop... not included). Boned. Rear metal zipper. Lined except for the sleeves. "Cahill ltd. Beverly Hills," label.
Size: (need help with your measurements? click here)
33 1/2" bust, 25" waist, free hips. Approximately 57" from shoulder to hem.
Condition: In good condition. Although I think we got most of it out, there may still be a few grains of rice stuck in the bodice. There is a section of the two coarse tulle underskirts at the left hip that has darkened (I think you can see it a little through the other two layers, but you can always remove the tulle from this spot and seam in a new piece since it is under the other layers). Thought I had seen a small yellow spot on the skirt. A small tear at the base of the lace overlay on the right side of the skirt. Rust dots under the zipper placket from oxidizing hooks and eyes (not visible when everything is fastened). A repair to the tulle alongside the seam below the zipper.
