Item v5993 ... Price: $365 SOLD A stunning early 1950's ball gown in stormy greenish blue velvet and lapis colored taffeta. Goregous, fitted draped bodice. Gown has a full, gathered taffeta skirt with a draped velvet overskirt and large bow at the rear (shown here with a crinoline... not included). Rear metal zipper. Label reads, "mary elizabeth embassy, meriden." There is a matching bolero (not pictured), however the bolero has a split at the rear neckline. Size: (need help with your measurements? click here) 35" bust, 25" waist, free hips. Approximately 57 1/2" from shoulder to hem. Condition: In good condition. A tiny pull at the point of the waist. A nick to the velvet along the edge of the drape on the skirt. A small tear in the velvet underneath the rear bow. A tiny orange spot in the skirt drape. I JUST noticed it for the first time, but there is a long horizontal repair about 1/4" up from the hem (I assume someone stepped on the hem)... not really that visible from above.
