Strapless Black Taffeta 1950's Cocktail Dress w/ Petal Skirt Item v6058 ... Price: $139 SOLD A simple, elegant 1950's cocktail dress in black taffeta. Strapless, fitted bodice. Dress has a full skirt with a petal shaped overlay (visible at the rear). Dress is shown here with a crinoline... not included. Side metal zipper. Size: (need help with your measurements? click here) 33 1/2" bust, 26" waist, free hips. Approximately 40 1/2" from underarm to hem. Condition: In good condition. I think this dress orignally had straps. There is a rough area on the rear edge of the bodice at each side (see photo... some of this is just thread that we should have pulled out before photographing from a tack that we removed) that indicates the dress once had straps (probably double straps). You might want to consider adding a thin velvet ribbon along the top edge to camouflage this. Two tiny holes in the skirt. Little bit of iron shine.
