Item v6131 ... Price: $245
An AMAZING vintage ball gown that was originally custom made in 1964 (or maybe in 1963 for a 1964 wedding... I can't quite remember what we were told) as a wedding gown... and what a unique wedding gown it is! Short sleeved bodice with subtle sweetheart type neckline and exaggerated basque waist. Fabulously gathered skirt with train. Train can be gathered into a bustle using the buttoms on the back. Dress has attached, full tulle hip panniers and was shown here with a crinoline (not included and possibly too much volume for the dress anyway). Rear metal zipper.
Size: (need help with your measurements? click here)
37" bust, 27" waist, free hips. Approximately 57" from shoulder to hem (71" to the end of the train when down).
Condition: In good condition. A tiny pick at the center neckline. The faintest orangey line at the udnerarms (really hard to pick out because of the color and sheen of the fabric). There is a silver dollar sized water spot on the front center panel several inches below the waist. There is an orange spot below the left hip. Dirt scuffs scattered through the skirt (I don't think this was ever cleaned after the big day and would benefit tremendously from a good cleaning). A couple of water type spots at the hem and a couple of other small orange spots on the skirt. A pin hole on the rear hip. The edges of the train are really dirty from dragging the ground. One of the buttons to secure the bustle is missing it's fabric cover.
