GORGEOUS Black Tulle & Taffeta Ball Gown w/ Red Velvet Floral Trim Item v6169 ... Price: $270 SOLD A gorgeous early 1950's ball gown in black taffeta and tulle. Fitted bodice with pleated cuff and pleated tulle bust inset. Gown has an attached tulle shoulder scarf (I suspect it was originally attached with snaps but was later tacked in to the gown... can be easily removed if you prefer). Incredibly full double layer tulle skirt with red and black velvet floral appliques. Bodice is boned. Lined. Side metal zipper. Size: (need help with your measurements? click here) 35" bust, 26" waist, free hips. Approximately 53 1/2" from underarm to hem. Condition: In good condition. I think the bodice has been taken in. There is a little bit of seam stress at the rear bodice seams. There are vertical tears in the outer layer of tulle at the hem (2 are about 9" long and one is about 5" long). There are also two 2" tears on the inner tulle layer and a 1" tear on the sash at the bottom. All are repairable.         Click on above images to enlarge.
