Item v6234 ... Price: $190 SOLD
A fantastic early 1960's prom dress in cream nylon (I do believe this is the original color not an aged color) chiffon with green and two toned pink embroidery lined in PINK acetate. Fitted bodice with cap sleeves and high neckline. Dress has a VERY full skirt with an attached crinoline (shown here with an additional crinoline... not included). LOW back with wonderful balloon hemmed watteau train. Pink velvet bow at rear neckline. Rear metal zipper. "An Arden Formal." The color of the bodice looks slightly pinker than the color of the skirt, HOWEVER this is an optical illusion because there is no tulle backing between the cream nylon and the pink actetate, where there is a layer of crinoline between the nylon and the acetate on the skirt.
Size: (need help with your measurements? click here)
34" bust, 24" waist, free hips. Approximately 44" from shoulder to hem.
Condition: In good condition. Barely bigger han a pin hole above the left side of the waist. Hint of yellow at the underarms. Bow has a sort of icy look that is probably not original. Tear on the underside of the balloon (not visible). A repair at each corner of the balloon hem. Some orangey spotting just at the center base of the balloon.
