Elegant Hattie Carnegie Beige Silk Cocktail Dress Item v6241 ... Price: $265 SOLD An elegant Hattie Carnegie cocktail dress in a dark beige/light taupe silk. Sleeveless dress with scooped neckline. Flared skirt with gathered/pleated rosette topped front. Silk tissue taffeta lining (however the bust is not lined, rather it is simply a double layer of silk). Built in corset at the waist. Rear metal zipper. Size: (need help with your measurements? click here) 35 1/2" bust, 25" waist, " hips. Approximately 42 1/2" from shoulder to hem (approximately 15" from shoulder to waist). Condition: In good condition. On the inside of the dress there is evidence of quite a bit of alteration (mostly hand stitching)... looks like it was taken up at the waist and I'm wondering (though I coukd be wrong) if the dress may originally have had wider straps or even sleeves (or perhaps it's simply that the bodice lining was removed?)... doesn't really make a difference in terms of wearability. Some yellow at the underarm. About a dozen orange freckles on the skirt, one on the bodice and two at the base of the left side bodice seam.
