Item v6301 ... Price: $239 SOLD
A superb 1940's evening gown in ivory and canary yellow marquisette (same weave as a marquisette but a little tighter so technically probably not marquisette, but you get the idea). Beautifully gathered, asymmetrical bodice with fan at left shoulder (the fan looks like it was cut by hand, so I'm wondering if there might originally have been a longer sash here... doesn't really matter... the fan looks nice, too). Sweeping skirt with fitted acetate liner. Side metal zipper.
Size: (need help with your measurements? click here)
34" bust, 26" waist, 38" hips. Approximately 60" from shoulder to hem.
Condition: In good condition. On the hanger it looks like the lining peeks out a bit below the hem, but on the dress form it seems to hang fine, so not sure about this. Couple of tiny, faint smudges on the skirt. A small, very faint smudge at the waist. A few darkened threads on one of the seams. Underarm marking on LINING (not visible outside). Sash as stated above.
