Item v6570 ... Price: $369 SOLD
A really wonderful 1960's evening gown in finely pleated cerise silk chiffon. Strapless bodice with large velvet bow. Gown has the most amazing skirt... straight skirt with wrapped balloon panels on top... almost reminiscent of those Edwardian hobble skirt/tunic combinations. Bodice of the gown has a built in bustier and the skirt portion of the gown is lined in crepe. Rear metal zipper. "Sophie of Saks Fifth Avenue," label inside the lower skirt seam.
Size: (need help with your measurements? click here)
33" bust, 23 1/2" waist, 36" hips. Approximately 50 1/2" from underarm to hem.
Condition: In good condition. Hem is not rolled or bound... just an observation. The chiffon has bled on to the bustier INSIDE the bodice (not at all visible outside). One of the bones of the bustier is starting to stress the edge of the bodice (has not pushed through but it is pushing a bit). Two pin holes under the arm (someone had a tag there... argh). One teeny tiny faint spot on the bodice.
