Item v6573 ... Price: $175 A lovely 1960's evening gown in cream colored satin with gold floral beading. Fitted bodice with thin straps and pointed waist. Dress is pleated at the rear and sides to give the appearance of a fitted skirt in the front and a full skirt in the rear. Rear metal zipper (fully functional, the dress was simply too snug across the back to finish zipping). Dress bears a "Vogue Special Design," label which means it was home made from a Vogue Special Design Pattern (the labels were included with the pattern). Size: (need help with your measurements? click here) 32 1/2" bust, 23" waist, 33" hips (could push it but 33 would be ideal). Approximately 50" from shoulder to hem. Condition: In good, wearable condition. Yellow at the underarm edges. A thin yellow line below the waist. Thin smudge on the front skirt. Some very light yellow spotting just above the hem. I think the whole rear skirt has sort of a yellowish cast with assorted small smudges a few small dark spots above the hem. Some sort of alteration appears to have been made at the rear waist and at the side seams leaving some ghost stitching, etc... Straps have a couple of light smudges and some tiny pin holes. A couple of missing beads. 1/2" of the waist seam is undone. At first look the dress really doesn't look bad and I think once it is cleaned it will be fully wearable.
