Item v6709 ... Price: $325 SOLD
An outrageous late 1950's or early 1960's ball gown. Strapless silk bodice and an AMAZING eyelash fringe ball gown skirt with an attached crinoline (shown here with an additional small crinoline... not included). Truly fit for the red carpet! Bodice is boned. "Helga," label.
Size: (need help with your measurements? click here)
31 1/2" bust, 24" waist, free hips. Approximately 46" from underarm to hem.
Condition: In good condition. On the underside of the hem the fringe is a tiny bit matted and grungy but this is not visible when on. Seam stress. A tiny drop on the bust. Looks like it was let out around the zipper seam (visible ghost sticthing... see photo). Bodice needs to properly pressed as the pleats and gathers are not quite sitting right. I think a couple of tack stitches pulled out of the pleats above the waist leaving tiny marks behind (can easily be retacked to hide). Hand stitching along the top edge of the bodice... I think the bodice may have been shortened. A tiny tear on the fold at the top edge of the bust (can be tacked in to hide). Priced accordingly.
