Curvaceous Don Loper 1950's Crepe, Satin & Chiffon Cocktail Dress Item v985 ... Price: $135 SOLD  UH-HUH! This is a curvaceous, head swiveling dress! By Don Loper. There is actually a Lucy episode called, "Fashion Show," featuring Don Loper. Lucy is dying to have a Don Loper gown and finally convinces Ricky to let her have one. I can't remember exactly what happens, but I believe she ends up paying about 5 times what Ricky told her she could spend. You can imagine the rest! I have heard that Don Loper was actually a good friend of Lucy's. Anyway... back to the dress! The body of the dress is black crepe with a black satin heart shaped bust and a black chiffon yoke and gathered 3/4 sleeves. "V" back. "Don Loper Originals," label. Rear metal zipper. 35" bust, 26" waist, 38" hips. Approximately 42" from shoulder to hem. In good condition but there are several tiny pin holes in the chiffon.
